How this Standard fits
The Practical Beekeeper Standard is intended to remain the foundation. This specialist Standard is being designed for credential holders who want to demonstrate further competence without repeating foundation evidence unnecessarily.
Development scope
The developing scope currently includes areas such as:
- crop planning and colony readiness
- harvest timing and ripeness assessment
- hygienic extraction and processing
- moisture, storage and batch control
- jarring, presentation and traceability
- current labelling and selling responsibilities
Evidence and assessment
The final KSBs, evidence requirements and assessment strategy will be published before certification opens. The intention is to retain BeeEducated’s evidence-led approach: real practice, clear assessment decisions, appropriate quality assurance and a verifiable credential.
